  • Outpatient Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy helps restore patient’s physical needs that were lost due to injury, illness or disease. It helps the patient build up the use of muscles and increase flexibility through the use of Therapeutic exercises. Other treatments include the use of Hot/Cold packs, Ultrasounds, paraffin wax and electric stimulation. Rehabilitation should be performed only by qualified therapists to ensure the effectiveness of the patient’s well being.

At Monarch we have licensed physical therapists at our Rehabilitation facilities to ensure the up most quality care for orthopedic and work-related injuries. Our treatments our individually designed to provide the most effective way to improve mobility and have the patients recover in a safe and effective manner.

  • Occupational Therapy

Our program philosophy at Monarch is to provide services to improve functioning and facilitate return to work for patients dealing with pain and injury. The programs are designed for patients who have limitations that interfere with their physical, physiological, social and/or vocational functioning.

  • Active Therapy

Work Conditioning
An intensive, goal oriented treatment program designed to restore and improve an individual’s systematic, neurological, musculoskeletal (strength, endurance, movement, flexibility, and motor control) and cardiopulmonary functions. The objective of the program is to restore the patient’s physical capacity and function so they can return back to work.

Work Hardening
A highly structured goal oriented, individualized treatment program designed to maximize the ability of the patients served to return to work. Work Hardening programs are interdisciplinary in nature with a capability of addressing the functional, physical, behavioral and the initial injury and return to work while addressing the issues of productivity, safety, physical tolerances, and work behaviors.

Work Hardening programs use real or simulated work activities in a relevant work environment in conjunction with physical conditioning tasks. Theses activities are used to progressively improve:

1. Biomechanical
2. Neuromuscular
3. Cardiovascular/metabolic
4. Behavioral
5. Attitudinal
6. Vocational Functioning

 

  • Chronic Pain Management

Chronic pain is defined as persistent pain, which can be either continuous or recurrent and of sufficient duration and intensity to adversely affect a patient’s well being, level of function, and quality of life.

At Monarch we specialize in helping patients cope with this epidemic affecting more than 30 million people in the United States. We understand that while we are not able to guarantee an absence of pain our staff will use the latest and most appropriate medical techniques to help you alleviate and manage this condition.

However, in the beginning you may feel many different emotions such as confusion, anxiety uncertainty, or anger. Within a few sessions you will shift to feelings of relief, acceptance, comfort, as well as encouragement and support.
