Monarch Pain Care and Rehabilitation Center is a medical-rehabilitation facility offering services in Houston, Southwest, Pasadena and Katy, Texas . Monarch's personnel provide coordinated interdisciplinary services designed to improve the functioning of persons dealing with pain through rehabilitation. Monarch opened for operation in 2000 at the Heights location. Monarch focused solely on the care of those in the chronic phase of pain. In 2001, Monarch Pain Care began serving assisting individuals in the primary and secondary levels of care by adding Physical Therapy, Work Hardening, and Work Conditioning to their services. In November of 2002, Monarch Pain Care and Rehabilitation Center achieved a three-year CARF accreditation for Medical Rehabilitation Programs, Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Programs Outpatient, Occupational Rehabilitation Programs, General Occupational Rehabilitation, and Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation Programs. Due to the overwhelming need for services in the Southwest area, Monarch Pain Care and Rehabilitation Center opened its second clinic in 2003 on Bissonnet. The opening of this new facility was quickly followed by two more in 2005 with the opening of the Katy, Texas and Pasadena, Texas locations. Currently, Monarch Pain Care and Rehabilitation Center honors all Worker Compensation Insurances, and certain Private Insurances for physical therapy. Monarch Pain Care plans to offer services to Medicare patients in the near future for physical therapy.
